I bought my DMP BD35 after reading the 'What Hi-fi' review where they gave it the best buy award. I was not disappointed! Build quality of the Panasonic DMP BD35 is fine, and it is a sleek-looking and compact design.
DMP BD35 picture quality is excellent for blu-rays and standard DVD's too - it upscales them very well. Sound is very good too, and the ability to decode both Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD-MA onboard is a great feature.
Connections are sparse but acceptable. Video out options are: HDMI, Component Video and Composite Video. Audio options are: HDMI, Analog (stereo only) and Digital Optical. I would have liked a coaxial digital output but this is a basic model after all.
Overall the Panasonic DMP BD35 is an excellent blu ray player, although I'd like to be able to tweak around with it a bit more. I would highly recommend for a first purchase for blu ray.
